Crystal Cox is the founder and owner of Serenity Counseling Services. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist. Crystal helps children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with past trauma and abuse, grief, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation and self-harming, PTSD, self-esteem, life transitions, boundaries, family conflict, stress and feeling overwhelmed, parenting, bullying, and more. She also provides couples counseling and works with individuals to strengthen their relationships and connections with others.

Frank Cullen is a Christian Life Coach with a passion for helping people live the most fulfilled life possible. He specifically enjoys working with people involved in small businesses overcome obstacles so that they can focus their attention on growing and succeeding in the areas that they choose. He coaches individuals from all over the nation, using a confidential media platform, enabling his clients to fit in coaching time, without the bother of traveling to an office. 

Linda is our incredibly valuable office manager. She feels it is an honor to help others, keeping in mind to work as for the Lord. The SCS team likes to call her the “glue that holds us all together”. Whether it is keeping our schedules organized (no easy feat with the growing number of counselors and clients we serve), or helping a client get the resources they need, she is a step ahead in almost every situation.

Karen is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She provided LPC supervision to our team and offered valuable guidance and support. Karen does not see clients but has a passion for helping people, especially parents, children, and those who are experiencing grief. She has received training in trauma-informed care, including Trust-Based Relational Intervention. (TBRI). 

Kristina Cavazos has been part of the Serenity Counseling Services Team, since February 2021. Her personal mission is to help others find healing and restoration and wellness through God’s grace. Kristina spends most of her time, coordinating Serenity’s website, social media, and other various projects, as needed. She also attends to scheduling and administrative tasks for our team and our community. 

Steal Adcock is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV) and a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology from St. Mary’s University (St.MU). He made the Dean’s List at St.MU and maintained a 4.0 GPA at UHV.

Richard L. Alford Jr. is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. Richard has been helping people in the Coastal Bend area since 1995. He believes each family and individual he works with are uniquely gifted to add worth to their home, family, school, and work environment. Richard enjoys working with people at different life stages and he uses several different tools and approaches to help in the healing process. 

Kassandra Villarreal is a Counselor with a calling to serve parents, children, and families. She is a LPC Associate, Supervised by Crystal Cox, M.Ed., LPC-S, RPT. Kassandra has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Minor in Sociology, from Texas A&M University- Kingsville. Also, she holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi. Kassandra has worked with children, youth, and families in her role as a Youth Specialist with the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services.
