Linda Mendoza, Office Manager

Linda is our incredibly valuable office manager. She feels it is an honor to help others, keeping in mind to work as for the Lord. The SCS team likes to call her the “glue that holds us all together”. Whether it is keeping our schedules organized (no easy feat with the growing number of counselors and clients we serve), or helping a client get the resources they need, she is a step ahead in almost every situation.

Linda was born in Beeville and grew up in Normanna, TX. She attended Pettus schools and then Bee County College (now Coastal Bend College) for 6 semesters. Her education and love for people led her to work for the Beeville Independent School District for 31 years. She served in many capacities at BISD including classroom assistant, parent volunteer coordinator, and secretary to the principal. After retiring from BISD in 2009, Linda went to work for RHC Counseling Services for almost 8 years as secretary then office manager.

Unbeknownst to anyone at the time, as Linda was closing out a chapter of her life at RHC Counseling Services in May of 2017, only a few months later Serenity Counseling Services opened their doors in the fall of 2017. It wasn’t until 2 years later that Linda’s path would cross with SCS and she would learn of their existence and their need for administrative help. Linda’s previous managerial experience, coupled with her faith and her drive to help grow the practice, made her a perfect fit for Serenity Counseling Services. Linda began working at SCS part-time in October of 2019. As the practice has grown, Linda has continued to take on more responsibilities and has become our first full time staff member.

One of Linda’s greatest strengths is her competency in keeping information confidential while being able to navigate the delicacy of connecting families with the resources they need. She has played an integral role in SCS being able to accept different insurances, which has allowed the counselors to serve more individuals who may have not been able to get the help needed otherwise.

Linda and her wonderful husband Kenneth are members of New Life Church in Beeville. They have two adult children who are both married and if you ask Linda how many children she has, she will tell you 4! Linda loves nothing more than Christ and spending time with her family. One of Linda’s all-time greatest joys is her granddaughter, age 7. She and Linda are a dynamic duo – playing together and simply enjoying the little things in life together.

Our clients love Linda because of her warm, welcoming, and genuine spirit, commenting that she is “the best at what she does” and “she helps me and my difficult work schedule every time I call”. One client mentioned that they were very nervous to call, but upon talking to Linda, she answered all of their questions and they knew they would be in good hands. Linda is a blessing to have on the SCS team and she feels equally as blessed to be able to contribute her experience to a sincere Christian workplace that feels like family.
